Enrique Múgica (88)

Enrique Múgica was a Spanish lawyer and politician. An opponent of Francoist Spain, he spent three years in prison. He was one of the leaders of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE), in Franco’s time. He managed the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and Israel. He was a member of the PSOE, Justice Minister (1988–1991), congressman (representing Gipuzkoa 1977–2000) and Ombudsman (2000–2010). He died of complications related to the coronavirus on April 10, 2020.
